On October 15th, the 135th China Import and Export Fair (referred to as the "Canton Fair") opened offline in Guangzhou.
This year's Canton Fair has a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, with over 30,000 participating companies, including approximately 29,400 export exhibitors—an increase of nearly 800 from the previous session. Nearly 4,600 new exhibitors are present, and over 8,000 companies hold titles such as national high-tech enterprises, specialized and innovative "little giants," and champions in specific manufacturing sectors, marking a growth of over 40% compared to last year. The fair showcases 1.15 million new products, 1.04 million green products, and 1.11 million products with independent intellectual property rights, all of which represent significant growth from the previous event.
Notably, according to real-time information from the Canton Fair's official website, a total of 846 lighting companies are showcasing 5,813 lighting products at this year's fair. Among them, 171 exhibiting lighting companies are presenting 460 products for in-person display.

Canton Fair

Compared to previous Canton Fairs, this year's event has seen a significant increase in both the number of participating lighting companies and products. Specifically, the number of exhibiting lighting companies has risen by over 50%, while the number of showcased lighting products has increased by more than 60%. This reflects the continued confidence of national lighting companies in product export sales, even amid ongoing international geopolitical and economic conflicts.
Even more encouraging is that this year's Canton Fair features 82 lighting companies that have never participated in previous fairs, representing an increase of over three times compared to past events. This further underscores the strong influence of the Canton Fair within the national lighting industry.

From the perspective of product categories, this year's Canton Fair features a total of 2,384 general lighting fixtures, 2,261 LED products, 447 bulbs/tubes, 276 lighting accessories, 178 emergency and safety lighting products, 28 entertainment and stage lighting products, and 239 other lighting products. The quantities of all types of lighting products have increased to varying degrees compared to previous editions.
In terms of product segmentation, general lighting fixtures include popular items such as smart home lighting, solar lamps, study lamps, and portable lighting. Additionally, other lighting products feature emerging segments like UV sterilization, plant lighting, and film lighting, highlighting the latest trends in the industry.
Among all the exhibited lighting products, there are 1,363 new products, 1,332 green and low-carbon products, and 714 smart lighting products. Notably, new and green low-carbon products each account for approximately 23% of the total number of exhibited lighting products, effectively meeting the procurement needs of domestic and international buyers amid the current trends in the lighting industry.

Additionally, the strength of the exhibiting lighting companies at this year's Canton Fair is noteworthy, featuring listed companies such as Guangdong Xiaosong Technology Co., Ltd., Foshan Lighting Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Minexplosion Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Sunshine Lighting Electric Group Co., Ltd., Guangdong Jiuliang Co., Ltd., Xiamen Xinda Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Jufei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Huarong Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Starlight Development Co., Ltd. There are also subsidiaries of listed companies like Suzhou Op Lighting Co., Ltd., Changfang Group Kangmingsheng (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., and Ruijin Debang Lighting Co., Ltd. This showcases the strong capital strength of Chinese lighting enterprises to both domestic and international visitors.
In the context of the slow recovery of the global foreign trade market in the post-pandemic era, the national lighting industry eagerly anticipates that the exhibiting lighting companies at this year's Canton Fair will achieve ideal product promotion results. There is also a hope that more lighting enterprises will leverage future Canton Fair platforms to step onto the global stage for development.
